The Aramea Foundation is an independent, non-profit, non-partisan research institution based in London. We serve as a humanitarian and intellectual hub that works tirelessly to address the long-term impact of conflict on Syrian communities. As part of our ongoing efforts, we actively encourage individuals and organizations to donate to Syrian refugees in Europe, support displaced Syrians in Western countries, and sponsor Syrian refugees striving to rebuild their lives with dignity.

Our vision
The Aramea Foundation believes in a Syria in which everyone plays a part. We believe in a Syria that cares for the vulnerable, including all, rich or poor, of whatever ethnicity or religious faith and their background. We care about the Levant’s rich and diverse heritage and will work to enhance the unity of Syria so that although differences are respected, Syria will never be divided. Most particularly, we feel there is an acute need to go beyond forgiving in post-conflict Syria to build a society in which the terrible wounds of war are healed. We believe that attention should be paid to this key issue. If this means forgiving enemies, then let enemies forgive them. It may be that a truth and reconciliation process is the only way to achieve this. We believe in Syria, where the four great freedoms at the heart of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights are nurtured, specifically, freedom of expression, freedom of religion, freedom from want, and, perhaps most importantly, freedom from fear.
As we pursue this vision, we continue our fundraising for Syrian refugees abroad and expand programs that provide winter kits for Syrian refugees, organize clothing drives for Syrian children, and sponsor Syrian refugee education.

The Aramea Foundation is an independent, non-profit, non-partisan research institution based in London. The Aramea Foundation works to build a better future for Syria and the Middle East as a whole as this region, with its rich heritage, moves out of conflict and into a new tomorrow. We seek to empower the Syrian people, those forced into exile through no fault of their own, those working and studying overseas, and indeed, those still at home in Syria who hope to rebuild their country and who aspire to a better tomorrow. One of our key objectives in this post-conflict era will be to help those who have been displaced as IDPs or refugees to at last return home.
Our mission also includes efforts to help Syrian asylum seekers navigate host communities, donate food to Syrian families in need, and promote monthly giving for Syrian children affected by war. We encourage global citizens to sponsor a Syrian family or sponsor a Syrian refugee as part of our sustained commitment to long-term impact.

We will bring people together for round table forums, conferences, and discussions in which we examine policies and, where possible, prepare working papers for key policymakers. We will also encourage those who wish to help in humanitarian work, whether for the nation’s reconstruction or to aid and assist those displaced as refugees because of conflict.
In our work across Europe and the Middle East, we provide pathways for individuals and communities to donate for Syrian refugees in Europe, contribute to food package donations Syria, and participate in fundraising for Syrian refugees abroad. We believe change begins with compassion and action, and we invite all to be part of the solution.
